Reds players face penalties

A-League boss Matt Carroll has slammed Adelaide United's post-match blast at the referees following Sunday night's Grand Final, and flagged fines and sanctions for some of the club's players.
Adelaide's veteran striker Carl Veart and skipper Ross Aloisi were the most vocal after their side's 6-0 thumping by Melbourne Victory at Melbourne's Telstra Dome.
Veart said the three blind mice could have done a better job than referee Mark Shield and his two assistants.
And Aloisi, who was sent off for a second yellow card, blasted his second caution as soft and questioned several decisions.
But Carroll, Football Federation Australia's head of football operations, hit back, saying Adelaide's post-match comments smacked of poor sportsmanship.
"We were disappointed with the behaviour of some of the Adelaide United players... at best it was poor sportsmanship, at worst it was sort of almost park-like behaviour," Carroll said in Sydney.
"We expect a lot more from professional athletes."
"It doesn't do credit to the club, it doesn't do credit to the players and it doesn't do credit to Australian sport."
Carroll said it was possible some Adelaide players would face disciplinary action as a result of both their on-field and off-field indiscretions during and after the grand final.
"We're reviewing a number of incidents both on-field and off-field... it is possible (there will be) fines and sanctions for some of the players," he said.
