The Socceroos will continue their Asian Cup finals build-up against China in Guangzhou on March 24.

The China Football Association announced the friendly with Australia also likely to play another Asian nation - possibly Saudi Arabia - on March 27.

China, who finished runner-up behind Japan in the 2003 Asian Cup but failed to qualify for last year's World Cup, was hopeful of fielding a full strength team for the clash.

Football Federation Australia have already confirmed two further warm-up matches for the Socceroos ahead of the Asian Cup - against Uruguay in Sydney on June 2 and Argentina in Melbourne on June 6.

Australia has been drawn with Oman, Iraq and hosts Thailand in their Asian Cup group, with the Socceroos to open their tournament against Oman in Bangkok on July 8.

The Socceroos lost their last international friendly 3-1 to Denmark in London on February 6, but remain one of the favourites for the Asian Cup.
