EPL referee Graham Poll has been appointed to officiate the final Group F match between Australia and Croatia on Thursday (Friday morning AEST).

Poll, 42, is the only English referee at the World Cup for the second time in succession having also officiated at the 2002 World Cup in Asia.

Australia's England-based players such as Harry Kewell, captain Mark Viduka, Mark Schwarzer, Tim Cahill, Brett Emerton and Lucas Neill should all be well versed on Poll's refereeing style.

But so too will the Croatians who won a group stage clash with Italy 2-1 at the 2002 World Cup when Poll was in charge.
